<i>Those who know me are well aware that breakfast is my favorite meal. From sweet to savoury, anything goes and, like for others meals, this one is different every day. The recipe I share today is one of my favourites and it's a white canvas that allows us to use our imagination. 140g avelãs grosseiramente picadas</div>

Num processador, misturar bem o azeite com as bananas e o mel. Numa taça, misturar os restantes ingredientes e adicionar os liquidos, mexendo até estarem bem incorporados. Reservar uma parte para os queques e colocar o restante num tabuleiro revestido com papel vegetal. Levar ao forno pré-aquecido a 180º C durante 15-20mins, até dourar. Remover do forno e soltar a granola com a ajuda de uma espátula. Voltar a colocar no forno e virar a granola a cada 3-4mins durante cerca de 15min (num total de 30mins). A granola deve ficar seca e crocante. Retirar a granola e deixar arrefecer completamente antes mexer. Guardar num frasco hermético até 1 mês (duvido que vos dure 1 semana!)</div>

<i>In a food processor, blend the evoo with the bananas and honey until smooth. In a bowl mix the rest of the ingredients and add the liquid mix, stirring well to coat. Keep some aside and pour the rest of the granola onto to a linned baking tray. Leave in the pre-heated oven at 180º C during 15-20mins, until golden. Remove from the oven and flip the granola in large chunks returning to the oven and flipping every 3-4mins for about 15mins (for a total of 30mins). The granola should be dry and crispy. Leave to completely cool down before storing in an airtight container, where it'll last for a month (though I doubt it'll last a week!).</i></div>

Talvez um gaspacho assim me fizesse voltar à piscina com vistas para a linda cidade altaneira, rodeada de campos dourados ponteados de oliveiras.... "Oh tempo volta p'ra trás..."</div>

Mas estivemos a aproveitar bem o tempo (o das férias, que já passou mas há-de voltar em Setembro, e o livre, que é cada vez mais curto) daí que o blogue tenha ficado mais parado. 1 chávena (250ml) de cajús</div>

4 chávenas (1L) de água</div>

Demolhar os cajús em água overnight (8 a 12h). Escorrer e lavar muito bem até a água sair transparente. Colocar os cajús com 2 chávenas de água no liquidificador e misturar bem. Adicionar as restantes duas chávenas de água e voltar a misturar até obter um liquido homogéneo e macio. Está pronto a servir (pode ficar no frigorífico até 4 dias!).</div>

Nota 1: a bebida de cajú não necessita de ser coada pois o cajú dissolve-se totalmente na água.</div>

<i>1 cup (250ml) raw cashews</i></div>

<i>4 cups (1L) water</i></div>

<i>Soak the cashews in water overnight (8 to 12h). Drain and rinse well until the water runs clear. Place cashews and 2 cups of water in a blender and blitz until smooth. Add the remaining 2 cups of water and blitz again until the liquid is smooth and homogenous. It is ready to serve (it'll keep in the fridge until 4 days!).</i></div>

Quem nos acompanha pelo <a href="http://instagram.com/ondina_maria/">instagram</a> sabe que sou fã do pequeno-almoço a preceito em qualquer dia da semana. Prefiro ter que me levantar mais cedo e sair de casa já no ultimo minuto, só para ter o prazer de me sentar à mesa com uma bela refeição, diferente todos os dias. Confesso que me faz confusão comer sempre a mesma coisa ao pequeno-almoço. Se não faço isso ao almoço nem ao jantar, certamente que não o farei com a principal refeição do dia! Gosto de ter tempo para saborear com calma este despertar dos sentidos. Claro que a minha cara-metade é o oposto: café e basta! Quando calha de tomarmos o pequeno-almoço juntos diz sempre: de facto, tu não morres à fome!</div>

E porque gosto tanto, tanto, tanto de um bom pequeno-almoço, tento preparar algumas das coisas no dia anterior para de manhã ter tempo de qualidade sem andar a correr de um lado para o outro.</div>

<b>Creme de arroz, coco e baunilha</b></div>

600g leite gordo</div>

400ml leite coco (1 lata)</div>

150g arroz carolino</div>

Colocar no copo o leite, o arroz, a vagem de baunilha (cortada ao meio juntamente com o interior raspado) e o sal envolvendo bem com a espátula. Cozinhar durante 50mins a 90º C na velocidade-colher inversa. Findo o tempo, adicionar o mel, misturar bem e colocar numa travessa (ou distribuir por tacinhas). </div>

I rather wake up a bit earlier and leave the house in the last minute just for the pleasure of seating at the table and enjoy a lovely different meal every day. I'm not fond of eating the same breakfast over and over again, since it's the most important meal of the day and we should give it the same attention and effort we have for lunch of dinner. My other half is totally the opposite: coffee and he's ready to go! When we have breakfast together he normally stares at me and says "you surely will not go hungry!"</i></div>
